Growing more fearful, I tried again, and yet again. It was no use. I
couldn't do it. My arms trembled, the veins in my neck felt like they
were going to pop as I gave it one last Herculean try. I felt
exhausted, both physically and mentally.
Despite my fear, no one laughed. When I dared to glance at the guys
standing there, my heart dropped. It was even worse. Laughter would
have been better than what happened next. Instead, they just looked at
me with contempt. Contempt. The kind of contempt only those who have
never experienced weakness or lack of confidence can feel. I was
absolutely devastated.

That was the worst moment of my life.
